Melton Rural South Monthly Beat Update – September 2026 Dear Resident The number of criminal damage incidents in September is 7, but the number of reported incidents of theft has decreased considerably to 6. There have been 11 reports of Assault (including domestic related assault) in September across the Rural South Beat which has increased slightly from the previous month. The number of reported burglaries on the Rural South has once again decreased to 4 from the previous month. The beat team, supported by the Rural Crime Team will be continuing to increase high visibility patrols across the beat in an attempt to deter any further incidents and reassure residents. Please ensure you keep your doors and windows locked and your outbuildings secured. In addition, there were 2 drugs related incidents and 2 incidents of vehicle crime. PC Tranter, PCSO Wittering, and I will continue to spend as much time on the beat as possible, working longer shifts in an attempt to deter criminals on our area.
